About MS

1 in 400 Canadians live with multiple sclerosis (MS) making Canada a country with one of the highest rates of the disease. MS is one of the most common neurological diseases among young Canadians, with a diagnosis usually occurring between the ages of 20 and 49.

Your participation in Savour Festival is about more than just food. It is your way of supporting those living with MS through their journey. Every dollar spent helps fund MS research and support programs that change Canadian lives. More information about MS click here. For more information about MS Canada, click here.

We first joined on board with MS Society because we participated in the MS Bike Grape Escape in Cowichan Valley.  We met so many people connected to MS, even though we personally have not been affected.  The stories that people told and why they are cycling for the society was very touching.  Everyone we have met are such wonderful people and very resilient.  We continue to support the cause over the many, many years of doing this very fun well organized event.  We hope that anything we can do will help.

I feel the MS Society is a great charity for a great cause. Alberta has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world – This disease effects my family and community, I am happy to help raise awareness and funds for the MS Society.

As someone who has watched a friend go through a diagnosis of MS and the struggles they went through with the disease. When we were approached by the Savour team to be involved in Savour A Culinary Festival it was not a hard decision to make. I along with my colleagues here at Touro Brazilian Steakhouse and Wine located in both Richmond Hill and Vaughan are proud to support such a wonderful campaign. We are here to support the MS Society of Canada whenever we can.

Our purpose in participating in fundraising is to spread the words and circumstances of MS to our local customers and our team so we both could help the current and the future patients of MS.

"I have had past colleagues with MS and saw how much their life is affected by it. As a business, I would like to help the cause and give back to the community."

As a part of Calgary, we want to contribute to a happier, healthier community. We all know someone who is affected by MS and being able to support those in need through a warm meal is the least we can do.
