The May 50K is a community activity and fundraising challenge that raises funds for programs, support services and MS research that make life better for Canadians affected by MS. We are challenging people to participate in their favourite activity to complete 50 kilometres throughout the month of May – no matter where you live in Canada!
It’s completely free to register and participate in The May 50K. You can sign up here and leave your limits behind this May!
The May 50K is an online activity and fundraising challenge where you decide how to complete your 50 KMs. Registration opens on March 1st and you can register individually, part of a team (family/friends or corporate) and participate in an activity of your choice. You can start fundraising as soon as you register, but tracking any KM’s will only be available during the month of May.
Participating in The May 50K is customizable for each participant! You can choose the activity that you would like to participate in to complete your 50 KMs. Like to swim? Great! Prefer walking or running? Perfect! Want to get adventurous and try something new? Excellent! The sky is the limit on the activity choice you challenge yourself to complete.
Once you register for The May 50K, you can also customize the KM distance that you think is attainable. If you hit your goal, you can always increase it to keep challenging yourself! Complete the challenge in a way that works best for you!
Complete The May 50K your way! The sky is the limit on activities you can choose! Some ideas include: running, walking, cross-country skiing, canoeing/kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, roller blading, dog walking, or another activity you choose.
We understand that there might be limitations that stop you from completing The May 50K challenge. We encourage you to adapt an activity to fit your ability, participate at your own pace and just do your best!
People living with MS across Canada are at the heart of everything we do. The money you raise ensures that people affected by MS receive quality access and support that they need in whichever community they live in. It is our priority to ensure we support programs and services that people can access across the country – regardless of where they live. Some examples of this programming include virtual wellness, 1:1 Peer Support, and our MS Knowledge Network. You can also check out our latest Impact Report.
